Part 03.

Following this, the first book I bought when I returned from a symposium on data mining and it's challenges, was a book on analytics and tactical positioning on Forex graphics. At that time I was led to understand the Forex ''technique'' side of the information in the book was still considered a green shoot; with regards to the algorithms proposed in it. One could hardly get above the din that was the norm about investments done quickly and highly profitably on the internet.

This was over thirty years ago as I recall it. I was still a vibrant for a forty two year old man. I had a young daughter who had just turned nineteen and a son who was thirteen. I was happy. Life was good. And there were no buts about these. I mean I was an easy going guy without a care in the world; not even a specific focal point about where it was I wanted to end up with my family in the next five years. I was lucky to have a wife who handled all the worries while we both shared the responsibility of the money brought in for our upkeep.

That was 30 years ago. Now my wife needs not do any sort of work whatsoever. It is all paid for. I mean her upkeep and expenses are all paid for. Though she is not here by my side at the moment, I choose to believe she is here in spirit. You see we separated 2 years ago but we have been in touch as always. She travels the world now while I get to keep the memorabilia of her journeys through life.

One such, was a chain made of the teeth of a lion: a cat found in some remote wilderness in East Africa. Along with this she sent a picture of herself and a local chief tribesman wearing, to my surprise, a classic suit and the chain of a lion's teeth or at least a copy. But I like to think it was the same chain. It's value was more than the aesthetics one could derive from these things. It was an authentic work of art but it had spiritual meanings to it: meanings which I must say were disagreeable to me and my lines of thoughts.
